It depends on what you define "good" as.

First, the graphic are kinda anime like.  Realism is not the point of this game. 

One of it's main focus point it's the combat system.  Unlike the traditionnal mmorpg where you just keep your character infront of the ennemy and spam attacks and skill while you get hit.  Mabinogi offer a more versatil combat

The combat resemble an advance version of rock-paper-scissor kind of game in which every skills has it's advantages and weakness.  The skills are basic action like Defending, Attack, coutnerattack and such.. An example of the rick-paper-scissor type is that lets start with 3 basic skill
Defending, Combat mastery(Normal attacks) and Smash. 

When using normal attack against Defence, Defence will always block the attack and greatly reduce the damage, it will stop the person's attack and give enough time for the Defender to use his/her own normal attack.
Defence's weakness is Smash which can cancle Defence and directly hit the ennemy for heavy damage.
Smash's weakness is Normal Attack since smash is considered to be "slow" hence a normal attack will always hit a smasher first.

Of course.. there is a lot more skills and it range from multiple category.

Those are the main combat style of the game.  We also have Life Skill that are more like production skill, things like blacksmithing, tailoring, instrument playing.

Also one selling point of this game is the no-class restriction.  You can train Any skill in whatever order you want.  You can have a bow, shoot an ennemy, switch to using magic, freeze the ennemy, remove your wand, equip a warhammer and jump into the ennemy.  Ofcourse learning every skill is way too hard ^^;  most people either play 2 category or only one.

Like any mmorpg, there are mainstreeam quest in which you gotta save the world.

There exist 3 Race in the game.. skilsl varies a little inbetween each race but they are still mainly the same thing
Humans are good at everything
Elves have a different kind of Archery and make better magic users.  Their melee is kinda weaker through
Giants have great melee abilities but they lack Archery and their magic is weaker than humans.
Elves and giants exist in another continent called Iria

Iria has it's own mainstream quest as well

At some point in the game development, they changed headmaster and he wanted to make a more.. dark mabinogi..  So from this point on.. the mainstream quest they made got...Warlike.. it was also the begining of Alchemy






Then we got another Headmaster change.. the new one wanted a more... Artistic mabinogi.

I knew that Chiyuri would bring on the spam ;D
I play Mabinogi too... its where I met Chiyuri. I've slacked off as of late however.

Vindictus is good, I think. It's... the grown up version of mabinogi.

Vindictus is like the "past" of mabinogi.  Vindictus setting happen in the Great Fomor war in which human fight for the paradise their goddess promissed them

Right now we have 4 playeble character andm ore coming in each year.

Fiona, a Sword and Shield Female Fighter.

At higher level she may switch her sword for a longhammer, which change her attack style.

Lann, a dual weilding Male Fighter.

At higher level he may switch his dual swords for dual Spears

Evie, a female magic user.

At higher level she can switch her staff for a scythe which prevent her from using the same magic, instead she goes more melee and use black magic she binds using her scythe

Karok is a male giant fighter which use a battle pillar.  His big size let him grab boss as if they were normal ennemies and he can even stop boss attacks.



After some time, you get the ability to Tranform either into a Paladin or a Darknight which boost your ability during a battle.
